Richard Bayfield is a Civil Engineer and Lawyer. He is currently a Vice President of the Institution of Civil Engineers and Chair of the Conflict Avoidance Coalition. He is a former Chair and Honorary member of the Society of Construction Law. Recent roles include Client Director / Advisor where he helps Construction Clients develop organisations and governance structures for delivery of projects. This includes setting up processes, communication structures, contracts and governance that are designed to achieve collaborative cultures, which in turn reduce the risk of project failure. Richard has also chaired or given expert advice to over 100 Tribunals. He is also Chair of a small Christian charity working in Sierra Leone.
