Over 40 years of experience in construction and urban development combining policy advise, field operations and research. This included 22 years at the United Nations and the remainder with private and public institutions. During the UN years, designed and implemented the urban agenda of UNDP’s UN Volunteers Programme and conducted the International Labour Office throughout the preparations for the UN Summit on Housing and Sustainable Urban Development (Habitat III), during the Summit itself, and afterwards in the discussions for the implementation of the New Urban Agenda. PhD in development planning. Extensive portfolio of practical activities and publications, including UN documents, books and articles in scientific journals. Currently serves as Vice-President of Habitat’s General Assembly of Partners.
