The Infrastructure and Cities for Economic Development (ICED) facility recently launched its new website. Among other things, the website assists Department for International Development (DFID) advisers to easily access knowledge products produced through the facility.
Infrastructure and Cities for Economic Development (ICED) is a flexible facility designed to accelerate DFID’s infrastructure and cities initiatives for resilient, inclusive and transformative economic growth.
Improving accessibility of useful resources
The resource section of www.icedfacility.org pulls together the wealth of knowledge produced through ICED and employs an easy-to-use search function which allows resources to be found by document type, region or by searching through the keyword box. Users can also find publications directly from the homepage or resources section relating to:
- Infrastructure & Energy
- Urban
- Fragile & Conflict Affected States
- Gender & Inclusion
- Climate & Environment
- Economic Development, Investment & Jobs.
Evidence Library
The resource section also has an Evidence Library tag which conveniently categorises ICED Case Studies, ICED Evidence and ICED Approaches. Case studies here have been contributed by all partners involved in ICED and the range includes Nigeria Power Sector Reform, an Introduction to Value for Money Cost Indicators and our work with CoST – the Infrastructure Transparency Initiative.
Direct support for practitioners
The website also allows DFID advisers to seek direct support from ICED – users can sign up through an online form displayed through the homepage, following their sign up a member of the ICED team will then get in touch.
